I live in the rural area of one of the most red states.

I am also as far left as someone can be before the horseshoe turns into authoritarianism again.

The left is armed. We just have the decades of experience necessary to know that you don’t advertise your capabilities. Especially in an open forum like the fucking internet.

Literally everyone I know who is in favor of 2A is against this. They’re “being real quiet” because you don’t interact with them and have no line of communication with them outside of Twitter trolls

We shouldnt have to talk to those nutters. They had one job: be good at guns for shooting tyranny. We let this dumb hobby of of theirs lead to killing hundreds and hundreds of children. For their hobby. Now it’s time for them to put up or shut up and defeat tyranny. If they won’t do it now they will never do it, so why are we letting their dumbass larping hobby kill kids?

Why would you expect someone to put their life on the line for you when you spout off about them all being lunatics? They’re at home with their family ready to protect their own home from tyranny as it comes to their own front door. They’re not assembling an army to take care of you too. You hate them, so defend yourself if you want to.

Besides, my entire point is about how fucking stupid it is to be all like “I’m not hearing anything from those people I never talk to, curious isn’t it?” I literally do not care in the slightest about a might-as-well-be-copypasted rant I’ve heard 10000 times from people who might as well be the exact same person as you.

You don’t actually think saying crazy shit like this to people is going to change anyone’s mind about anything do you? If anything this kind of talk makes people more entrenched in their opinions. So you’re just venting, which is understandable, but you’re wrong to take it out on a stranger regardless of if you think a political disagreement makes them subhuman. You need therapy.

So we should start calling ICE to report fashy gun owners are harboring illegal aliens, yes?

Maybe even illegal aliens with blogs that are critical of fascism.

The sad part is for this to work they have to seem nice and that’s mostly incompatible. Like imagine if you reported that Oprah was harboring illegal immigrants. Hire them, sure, but harbor them? Oprah has done more for the alt right than most, so it’s just a laughable idea. Gates? Nah. Zuckerbot? Double nah, he doesn’t even want wealthy people near him. I bet he makes millionaires clean his pool. It’s hard to find a believable subject at all, and if you do you wouldn’t want to use it :(

Tyranny is when the government doesn’t recognize my right as the divine head of my family and king of my castle - not allowing me to expose others to infectious disease, forcing me to ensure that my children learn how to read and count, stopping me from buying a gun after beating my wife, and denying me the ability to purchase something that has been marketed specifically to my Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ivermectin, raw milk, probably fucking asbestos eventually); while having the gall to allow black people to vote and gay people to get married.

If they have a badge and I get away with it, yeah. Especially an ICE badge. Traffic cops have done some good. But I can’t remember hearing any story about ICE that was about them doing anything positive, ever.

Watch the life drain from their dead eyes and know some good was done as I have purified the evil trained into their husk like a cancer.

        Everybody wins.

But shooting people in general? Nah. Personally speaking, anyway. I don’t even have a gun myself.

I feel the opposite goes for conservatives. They’ll shoot anyone they can argue they felt threatened by. But they’ll lick ICE boots on request.

Depends on the state. But if you shoot a cop, regardless of how justified, your next 10 years, should you see them, are going to suck. And the following 10 are iffy.

Armed minorities are harder to oppress.

Organized armed minorities make governments afraid.

    Get organized, train.

I told Americans for weeks now to go meet minorities in their communities, offer to help them organize and arm. Then help them resist.

      They’ll fight you about it.

I’ve been called every name you can imagine. Told they would all be killed in the streets (very possible I admit but not the point), I was reported a lot and given bans for inciting violence. Many of those posts have subsequently been deleted. I was attacked so much I shut my original account and use two new accounts so I don’t unintentionally dox myself.

Now it’s pretty common to see these comments.

Well … The 2nd ammendment friendly liberals are smart enough not to post “come get sum ya dirty Nazi asshats” or say how they might be looking forward to defending their home against armed trespassers (ICE without a warrant). That stuff leads to trouble, or might look bad in court.

People know this is bad. History shows this only ends in violence. There is no way to vote our way out of this, these people either get overthrown/arrested, or they get taken out by other nations world war style.

i don’t think it’s likely that other nations will take out trump through a world war, as happened with hitler in WW2.

this is largely because i believe that other countries entered WW2 to stop hitler because they were getting attacked, or feared they were about to be attacked next. if trump doesn’t outright attack other countries, i see little reason for other countries to use military force to stop the US or trump.

For sure, but the rhetoric for annexing other nations has been ramping up, from Canada to Greenland

So I don’t know about it not happening. I see a very real possibility of WW3. Or an American Civil War at least. While also horrific, for the sake of the world I hope it ends up being “just” a civil war

This is that tyranny you were always talking about

Reminds me of Alex Jones; or to be more precise, of the KnowledgeFight (play on InfoWars) podcast. All through 2025 they are commenting on Alex’ praise of Trumplon: “You should know that this is exactly what you pretended to be fighting against all those years.”

It really shows that the alt-right and related movements were never about freedom. It’s always been about the hate, mostly hate of others.

Alex Jones on the Patriot Act in 2003

The bill itself is stamped “Confidential - Not for Distribution.” Upon reading the analysis and bill, I was stunned by the scientifically crafted tyranny contained in the legislation. The Justice Department Office of Legislative Affairs admits that they had indeed covertly transmitted a copy of the legislation to Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, (R-Il) and the Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney as well as the executive heads of federal law enforcement agencies.

      […]

SECTION 501 (Expatriation of Terrorists) expands the Bush administration’s “enemy combatant” definition to all American citizens who “may” have violated any provision of Section 802 of the first Patriot Act. (Section 802 is the new definition of domestic terrorism, and the definition is “any action that endangers human life that is a violation of any Federal or State law.”) Section 501 of the second Patriot Act directly connects to Section 125 of the same act. The Justice Department boldly claims that the incredibly broad Section 802 of the First USA Patriot Act isn’t broad enough and that a new, unlimited definition of terrorism is needed.

      […]

SECTION 322 removes Congress from the extradition process and allows officers of the Homeland Security complex to extradite American citizens anywhere they wish. It also allows Homeland Security to secretly take individuals out of foreign countries.

      […]

SECTION 402 is titled “Providing Material Support to Terrorism.” The section reads that there is no requirement to show that the individual even had the intent to aid terrorists.

Not gonna click anything from a jesus-is-savior domain but I think it’s blatantly obvious Alex Jones is a huckster that peddled supplements and lies.

Occasionally he might have accidentally made a salient point but he has never been and never will be a good source of information. It’s ironic his show’s name is also what he’s doing, fighting a war on information and truth with his bullshit and lies.

          The point is this

“You should know that this is exactly what you pretended to be fighting against all those years.”

Alex Jones has always been a fucking nut, but the beliefs he holds now are antithetical to the beliefs he had then. There was a brief period where he was popular in more left leaning circles because criticism of the Patriot Act and the War in Iraq was not popular, and he was genuinely one of the first and loudest voices.

The concerning this is that he is cheering for things that he would have actively decried then. Before Trump was the nominee, he was not pro Trump. There is something strange with these MAGA cult figures - where their beliefs are subsumed into a devotion to their God figure.
