Edit: he was not drunk, he swerved into oncoming traffic. He was in northern Ireland and his reason for doing so is unknown by his account, he can’t remember anything about it.
I did not find any evidence anywhere that he was drunk or intoxicated.
It seems he was driving on the wrong side of the road because he’s used to driving on the other side, because he’s from America and he was in Northern Ireland.
