now, to be fair, he shouldn’t be caned for his name, that’s on his parents. same on his behavior, his parents are responsible for raising such a shitty kid.

        cane all three.

Maximilien allegedly licked a straw from a vending machine and placed it back in the dispenser

So not back into his drink, as the summary leaves open. That makes it reasonable. It’s not punishment for filming a video but for being disgusting.

Business student. I wouldn’t want someone like that representing my school in the business world. I wonder if the university would ever rescind admission offers based on unacceptable behavior. A little social shaming that might be register with both the 19 year old and his parents who are almost surely still paying his bills.

… have you ever met business majors?

Not business. This guy is their clientele.

A student who graduated from my high school had their admission to a university rescinded for things they said and did in a Facebook group for accepted students.

Title being “teen”, I thought he’d be 13 for something that dumb. That dude is an adult in French law.

You do know where that word comes from, right? Thirteen, fourteen, and so on? That unsurprisingly includes nineteen as well - a teen is someone between the ages of 13 to 19.

Yes M. Pedantic, I know where the word teenager comes from. It is a technically true title that makes the headline more click grabby so it sounds like a kid got arrested. It is also true that he’s legally an adult where he comes from and at 19 you should know better.

He is someone who thinks filming himself licking straws and putting them back is a fantastic idea. He is definitely a teen.

His behaviour was stupid and gross, and the public shaming deserved - but going to jail possibly for 2 years for that is pretty bonkers. A fine and community service sounds more like a balanced response.
