I can point further back, but I don’t think “corporations” would be historically accurate, just “business interests”. Furthermore, the United States have been sending billions every single year to Israel for decades, which has a population in the single digit millions, meanwhile Americans aren’t dignified with health care. Or we, in most school districts, have to pay for our children’s meals while they attend schools that they’re legally required to attend (unless we can afford to send them to private schools).
