    It really reads like he’s just concerned about the backlash and future implications for Israel on the world stage.

    There’s no apology and no admission of the true devastation or intent, for example:

    I do not share the opinion of former Chief of Staff Moshe Yaalon, who said that Israel is carrying out ethnic cleansing.

    He does not acknowledge the fact that the entire country seems to be pro-genocide, instead placing the blame solely on the current government.

    Even though he mentions some of their illegal actions, he still has lots of positive things to say about the “brave” Israeli soldiers.
