Bernie Sanders May 08, 2025

[based on speech given to US Senate]

"Thursday marks 68 days and counting since ANY humanitarian aid was allowed into Gaza. For more than nine weeks, Israel has blocked all supplies: no food, no water, no medicine, and no fuel.

Hundreds of truckloads of lifesaving supplies are waiting to enter Gaza, sitting just across the border, but are denied entry by Israeli authorities.

… Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “Israel’s policy is clear: No humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, and blocking this aid is one of the main pressure levers.” "

You said I did that to you. I’m waiting for that quote.

Or… are you saying you agree with me?

I literally just quoted it. Big ol’ block of text there. You can verify, I pulled it from your post history. I do agree with you, never disagreed.

I’m sorry. Just so we are sure to be on the same page, you agree with:

        1. ML doesn’t care about Gaza, or genocide, they use it as a tool to destroy the west while allowing Muslim genocide when it cannot condemn the US.

        2. There is more Muslim genocide going on than just Gaza.

        3. While the US is certainly complicit by selling weapons and not saying a damn thing, there are many other countries doing the same thing and should be equally shamed for allowing… and encouraging Muslim genocide.

        4. [optional] most people on lemmy only care about genocide when it condemns the US.

          1. I don’t think ML is a monolith so I can’t feel secure in saying every person there feels as such, but there’s certainly a sizable presence there that seems to fit that criterion.
          2. Ja
          3. 100%
          4. I’m not sure if it’s most people but there’s again a sizable presence that seems quite loud at times. I expect this is often the US fraction of the population based on posting times.

Well, I completely misread you. Probably because I’m taking it from many sides on this one, and I’m in defense mode. Please accept my apology.
