“What do you think they [protesters] want?” Harris Faulkner of Fox News asked the president. “What do you think they need, right now, from you?”

Here was Trump’s answer, verbatim:

"Protesters for different reasons. You’re protesting also because, you know, they just didn’t know. I’ve watch - I watched very closely. Why are you here? They really weren’t able to say, but they were there for a reason, perhaps.

“But a lot of them really were there because they’re following the crowd. A lot of them were there because what we witnessed was a terrible thing. What we saw was a terrible thing. And we’ve seen it over the years. We haven’t, you know, this was one horrible example, but you’ve seen other terrible examples. You know that better than anybody who would know it. And I know it. I’ve seen it, too. I’ve seen it before I was president. I’ve seen it. I think it’s a shame. I think it’s a disgrace. And it’s got to stop.”

Imagine one guy who’s been doing the same job, working hard, for decades

    Yeah!

Just think how bad off we’d be if Biden hadn’t:

Fought against school busing after segregation ended…

    Fought against healthcare reform…

Had all those “fun” dinners with strum thurmond…

Wrote large parts of the 92 crime bill…

Spent decades de-regulating finance for corporations…

    Wait, what we doing again?

    /s

His “hard work” was all against what the modern Dem party wants. And when he disagreed with the party as president, he just didn’t try to do what the party wanted.

Stop acting like everyone forgot modern political history just because most did.

Biden was a net negative to the country even before he became president.

        Nope.

I’m saying if the Democratic candidate in 2025 is on par with the Republican candidate from 40 years ago, how was it not a conservative party?

I’m saying that if the Dem candidate wants to win, they need to match what policy Dem voters want.

What about that makes you think I like trump more?

If I liked trump more I’d pretend all these valid reasons for why trump won didn’t exist, because I’d be desperate for Dems to keep repeating mistakes. Or since we now have the most progressive chair in my lifetime as of 2 months ago, I’d pretend that today’s DNC is in any way similar to the DNC if just a few months ago that fucked shit up so badly

But I don’t like trump more

So I spend some of my free time talking about how trump was able to win, and I forming people that today’s DNC is actually worth a damn and we need to rally behind their new progressive leadership

        What do you do?

One problem with this tactic is that Dem voters, like Repub voters, are fundamentally dumber than a bag of hammers.

I think if anyone wants to win in today’s climate, they have to capture the media (including social media).
