It’s a tough one honestly, because you never know if its someone that’s generally a considerate person but had to park for an emergency… Or if it’s just a general asshole on a standard day.

Judging by the car make and model though (all black Tesla), I’d lean towards the latter.

I think that person is an asshole for stopping on the crosswalk, but I have no authority to do anything about it and move on.

would be annoying for the tesla owner if whoever bumped into the car had no identifying features or clothes, so the car cameras can’t be used to identify the person

Possibly committing felony vandalism for a parking violation. Does not seem reasonable.

What is up with the down votes? Lemmy is being very polarizing lately. Bots perhaps? It seems fishy

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cop do anything that could be called useful. I mean I’m sure they must occasionally, but I cannot attest to it.

The problem with that is that the first tire tech who responds to the flats, will spot the missing valve stems, and replace rhem. It also takes a lot of time to do it.

The better move is to just unscrew the caps, and drop a BB in the cap and screw it back on. The BB will press slightly on the valve stem, and cause a slow leak. The tire tech will search and search for the source, but he’s unlikely to look in the cap, and he probably won’t notice the BB in the cap anyway, so it will become an ongoing problem.

Lol I work in a shop, and while I’m not saying your wrong I would like to share a story. Had a customer get towed in, they were driving and got a flat. AAA came and swapped their spare on for them, shortly after they got another flat. Being out of spares they had it towed to the shop. 2 flats in one day same corner 2x in a row u got any guesses? Well when I get to it I notice the spare has a chunk knocked out of the inside of the wheel. I go to take the flat off and surprise! Fucking chunk out of the other wheel. 2 wheels with holes right through them! Caliper lost the lower bolt, so under braking it would pivot up on the upper bolt and wedge into the aluminum wheel so hard it blew a hole in it and locked up that corner. AAA came and swapped that wheel without going “hey ur fucking brakes are falling off” so I sort of doubt they will notice a missing valve stem lol. AAA also totaled my Audi last time they towed it with a single wheel strap and it let loose on the roll back, so I have VERY little faith in the roadside guys seeing anything lol.

Yea honestly I don’t blame them, their not paid to give a fuck. AAA responders get something ridiculous like 50 bucks a call, half the time their practically losing money to respond. plus every time I have used them it has been multiple hours wait. I cancelled AAA after the “mediator” tried to tell me to eat it when their operator totaled my car, to which I had to get the DOT numbers off the flatbed and chase their insurance my damn self. Id rather properly pay an honest tow company that actually cares lol. That experience left a REAL sour taste in my mouth.

Better hope u don’t have any troubles because the mediators will do everything they can to leave you holding the bag. He and the tow company owner both told me I cannot force them to go through insurance. To their dismay I fucking did! Car totaled out and got my 8 grand back, tow company only offered me 2500 which doesn’t even cover the reiger body kit it had on, nevermind the ac condenser it burst releasing freon into the atmosphere, the radiator it knocked the bottom out of or the oil coolers it wrecked that dumped all manner of fluids all over the place. I had a rotten experience and I recognize that’s not the norm, but how the company handled it told me all I needed to know!

I got similar situation in a cul-de-sac around my area. There is a sidewalk going through and people like to park their car right in the middle of it.

I just do small stuff like bending out rear wiper or bending front passenger’s external mirror. People do be getting the memo.

One thing that has always sent me into an absolute rational rage is cunts in cars blocking sidewalks and pedestrian passageways.

and now that I have family in wheelchairs and on walkers, that rational rage has become about 30x more intense, to the point that I have to physically stop myself from bricking their windshields.
