Moldova says 'no' in vote on joining EU: partial results – DW – 10/20/2024

A partial count of ballots showed a 55% 'no' vote in a referendum on whether Moldova should add its EU membership plans to the constitution. Early presidential election results gave incumbent Maia Sandu a narrow lead.

Meanwhile, incumbent Maia Sandu was closer to a second term in office, after partial results in the country’s presidential election gave her a small lead over her main rival.
