Curious as to what others do once they’ve opened their advent calendar for the day, take the door off, leave it open, close it, or something else entirely?
Personally, I’ve always removed them, along with the foil inside the door, looks neater and it’s easier to find subsequent days. Others don’t seem to agree with me on this one though, so I’ll be interested to see what you fine folk think.
I’m watching a daily series with two YouTubers opening four different advent calendars. One of them is the official Only Fools & Horses calendar and it’s horrendous.
When it’s finished, it’s supposed to represent a Christmas scene in the Nag’s Head. The problem is, and here comes the point, the flaps are the presents (sometimes)! For example, today’s flap was Denzil sitting on a stool.
I think even the most die hard fan would be angry.
How dare you “two YouTubers” unname then when one is Ashens, king of tat, lord of the brown sofa.
It’s on his second channel for those interested.
My apologies. Dan (Nerd³) and Stuart are very funny chaps.
Sounds like a truly thrilling watch!
(I can’t judge, I watch YouTubers open calendars with craft supplies inside)
They’ve made it into a competition. The winner is the one with the best daily gifts.
This year it’s Barbie Vs Military Men (a cheap calender of generic 3⅐ inch army men and accessories.)
The other set is Only Fools & Horses Vs Woozle Google (A German science show for children)
They’ve been doing it for several years. One year was the official Dr Who advent calendar Vs Star Trek. Considering these were deluxe expensive sets, some of the gifts were terrible.
So some flaps need to be taken off for the scene, while some are left on? That just sounds like the worst of all worlds!
The advent calendar is in two parts. Remembering it’s supposed to be the pub, the wall contains gifts behind the doors, they’ve been atrocious, while the floor doors act as pop ups for the scene.
Maybe just Google it and you’ll understand. 😆
I’ve just had a look, it seems quite the monstrosity! And musical?
