So, you dont think its something to discuss that everyone thinks its okay to start hating on Jewish people as a whole on here?
Or is that something to just ignore since I made a comparison?

Its wild to me how many mfers are excited to start going in on “Jews”. Mfers just need to blanket hate I guess.
Wadyall saying about the Tigray or Sudan people?
I’m not going to bat for Meta/Facebook.
But in my personal opinion, users choice is best for the users. If Threads ultimately has more and better content(because let’s face it, we’ve all seen LINUX BEATS WINDOWS IN 10 GAME TESTS! 100 different times already), users who want that content will have to create an account with Meta to access it. I’d rather use my Lemmy account and access Meta through that.
but again, just my opinion which ultimately doesn’t matter.
But any way you want to compare Threads activity/uses to Lemmy’s… It’s pretty obvious that Threads is already way bigger which was the main point I’d imagine.
I like how amplified divisive content, misinformation and content moderation is the “legitimate” risks like it’s not already an issue here.
Pretty convenient it’s always a nameless generic bad guy for the actual bad guys though.
True.
But do you believe the actual people commiting the genocide and manipulating Facebook shouldn’t be held accountable for their actions?
It’s wild how we have simplified all modern complex issues to “it’s because of the (fill in the blank extremely popular bad guys)”
Guess it’s not worth thinking about the actual issues.
I’d imagine is because Myanmars situation is way more complicated than Facebook “undoubtedly caused a genocide”.
Seems like it’s getting trivialized to shit on Facebook
That’s a large portion of what’s here as well though…
Oh yeah, I’m not trying to blame a fan base over the actions of a group/artist. I also don’t know what type of music the original post is about. Maybe they do make music thats like “we are Nazis and so are you if you sre listening” and then I’d probably be understanding of consequences of being fans.
But that Nazi salute is definitely not the only documented racism by Pantera members, and I’m sure you know that.
That doesn’t make their fans racist imo
Oh yeah, and I’d imagine if something like NATO decided to take that path forward in the future, it would probably be possible to beat Russia by killing Russians. I also imagine it would be relatively quick tbh.
But for humanities sake, I hope they can put together a better, more surgical way to remove the cancer from Russia.
While I agree with the sentiment, it’s not like “we” are trying to beat Russia, right? Ukraine is defending itself. I’d imagine the story would be a little different if the goal was to beat Russia(like a full effort), rather than defend Ukraine.
Oh yeah, at it’s root, it was already bad.
I’m always interested in a decent discussion or thought experiment though, even if I completely disagree with the other person. 99% are so lazy nowadays it’s not even interesting reading their copy/paste comments that have been recycled for the last decade
Even without defining those parameters, I also thought it was sort of strange to compare a political party vs country.
It’s an irrelevant question leading into a off topic point that you’d like to make. If you’d like to deliver a point, go ahead and comment it. Not my job to try and land your point for you though.
I’m confused by the whole comment line. Do I seem like I’m outraging, or have any strong opinions any way that needs to be clarified?
What a strange and leading question.
Nazis are obviously bad, but this comment makes me think that anyone you don’t like/like their comments/replies, you consider a Nazi?
Can you see whats been removed from a thread? Because at the time of my comment, there were quite a few comments I’m not seeing anymore
