Benjamin Song was sentenced to 100 years in prison and Maricela Rueda to 70. Savanna Batten, Elizabeth Soto, Meaghan Morris, Autumn Hill, and Zachary Evetts each received sentences of 50 years. Daniel Sanchez Estrada, who was not at the demonstration, was sentenced to 30 years on charges relating to concealing documents in the investigation.

I was simply using Eurovision as a model of international cooperation; an equivalent comparison that highlights American nationalism is the cultural dominance of privately-owned national sports leagues (with token Canadian involvement) over international leagues such as how Europe has UEFA championships (CONCACAF championships have very low public engagement in the U.S. compared to national sports leagues).
Part of the problem is how large and culturally dominant the U.S. is relative to its neighbors, compared to the more balanced structure of Europe that facilitates organizations such as the EU, but a shift away from nationalistic events at the forefront of American culture would help with that.

I don’t see anything of myself in fascist-oriented, needlessly nationalistic celebrations when multinational Eurovision-style events that foster international cooperation would be a far more beneficial use of state and federal resources than promoting nationalism.
Less fragmentation is definitely better, so while the option to split is always there with more options than are available on Reddit, ideally communities should stay united to avoid dividing already small userbases.
Unpaid moderators should have the freedom to act according to their personal preferences. If moderation becomes a problem, the platform’s federated structure facilitates creating alternative communities.
