That’s why I said “nearly half” bruh. We have 50 states in the US and a few territories.
And yes, he didn’t pardon enough people. I will agree with you on that all day. But how many cannabis users did Trump or even Obama pardon from their sentences?
He’s making an attempt despite having a gridlock Congress, and I do commend him for that. That’s why I said “nearly half” bruh. We have 50 states in the US and a few territories.

Edit: I will concede federal minimum wage remaining stagnant at $7.25 does suck though. Biden can’t force one state to raise minimum wage over another. You got me there, that was a state-loving-their-constituents thing, not a Biden thing.
Is this the same Biden that just pardoned a bunch of cannabis users from serving their sentences?
And the same Biden who on 1 Jan 24, nearly half the US states will have their federal min wage raised?
Look, there’s plenty to criticize Biden for, mostly ALL of his Middle East actions (not just Gaza-Israel), but let’s not pretend he’s all bad and hasn’t tried to help his own people domestically.
I agree. 100%. Like YES, Israel is being maximum scum by retaliating with excessive force. We get it, they have all the “1st world countries” funding them. They keep murdering people with a crazy multiplier compared to Palestine.
But to pretend that Hamas is not at all culpable or disgusting for their OWN actions is not it.
Imagine being an American so privileged and revered you get paid to live in Italy in one of the most historically iconic places on Earth…
… and you throw it all away so you can hate on gay people and vaccines. Wtf.
Good thing abortion isn’t murder.
I just went to the Stasi Museum in Berlin last year. Holy fuck that was frightening.
In general, the Stasi were fucked up, but their ability to lie/brainwash/indoctrinate and make citizens believe that they had an actual duty to report their neighbors was hella insidious.
On top of everyone just being afraid that the Stasi was spying on them so they just said whatever they could about Joe and Tanya down the street to get out from under the Stasi eye.
My…how quickly we forget as a society. The Stasi were actually around in my lifetime, and I’m only mid-30s.
Noted! Adjusting my response! But yes, it’s super frustrating to learn!
Me whenever my Midwesterner husband tries to explain the rules to Euchre.
I swear to God, those rules just keep changing so only the real Midwesterner can win!
Edited: Corrected “Eucher” from “Yuker”.
Okay. I admit it. I grinned.
But in all seriousness, it is good to know that even in states with lesser consumer protection laws, purchasers will still be protected.
I love learning little random tidbits of knowledge like this!
I was wondering if this violated false advertising laws? I’m definitely nowhere near a Lawyer, so I can’t begin to grasp the nuances of things like that but…
If someone buys the car under the pretense that it will drive 500 miles on one charge, and it consistently only makes it 350 miles, that’s not a variable tolerance issue like +/-10% . It’s a straight up “I sold you a falsehood” issue.
I’d imagine places like Svalbard. Technically it’s inhabitable now, and has been for decades but it’s the most Northern year round sustained population on the globe.
Further North is Arctic tundra and there isn’t a sustained population. Maybe he’s referring to areas like that.
Though I will say that back in 2019 I saw an article about how every winter a bunch of Reindeer in Svalbard die due to climate change. As the spring rolls in and snow melts, Reindeer corpses are left behind in the fields 🥺.
I’m actually about to get ICL surgery to correct mine in July @ 35 years old. Pretty stoked to not have to use glasses anymore. Though from what I’ve been told, it will make those of us who get ICLs more susceptible to early cataracts (like 60 years old or so versus 75, as we all will eventually get cataracts if we live long enough), and I’ll need a second surgery at that point for better lenses. But if I’m going to eventually need that surgery anyway to remove a cataract, then what’s it matter?
