“No one, whether you’re trans or not, wants the federal government digging through your identifiable patient information and figuring out what they like and don’t like,” Hack said. “It’s an absolute overreach, and people are really scared.”
Asked whether Hack’s priorities were measures he could support, Platner agreed. “Yes, indeed. They most certainly do,” he said.

I think they should be forced to duel the day he’s sworn in. David and Goliath style, in that arena they built in front of the White House.
I don’t even care about sheer size alone, plat is winning that fight. My opinion of the 2 men aside, Fetterman could maybe get one of those big dashes in that video game bosses do where he crashes into the wall and stuns himself and then Platner just rips him apart with his hands. Those military dudes got strong hands. Scares me, personally…
but (being serious now) if Platner wants to walk the walk as an anti-imperialist candidate I hope he can show it. I do hope he wins, though I don’t have any say in the Maine race anyways from over a thousand miles away. I don’t like him as a person from what I’ve seen from him, but like I said I’ve never even been to Maine and if he serves the working class in Maine and serves as a genuine anti-war anti-imperialist voice in America it’s a good thing. I’m just very very VERY skeptical so far.
Same. I hope he’s as serious as he sounds and not just some Joe Rogan “I’ll say whatever my audience wants to hear” meathead. At this point, it’s too late to do much else except hold my breath and pray.
I mean, he’s a thug from Maine. I like him way better than Susan Collins or Janet Mills, who are just a pair of snakes in flesh suits. But I have to assume there’s a heart beating under that tattoo big enough to feel regret for his early life and contrition enough to do better in the future.
