Imagine if that person was invited back to the Q&A and then spoke their mind, this is a lesson that could be learned and better for those to witness . Good chance there would be feedback. Second lesson could be that feedback. Third, picture the experience everyone is getting in that moment, learning together.
I would have invited the protester back for the Q&A as a massive power move/give that person a chance.
That only works when you have nothing to hide.
Then watch them squirm and flub the issue they claim to champion.
