Redefining antisemitism in the law was never about Jewish safety. It is about consolidating authoritarian power under the veneer of minority protection
Once again, for those who came in late: Palestinians are Semites. To call supporting them “antisemitic” is Orwellian.
It’s not splitting hairs so much as linguistic accuracy. I’ve only spent time with liberal Jews over the years, and they have a fascinating culture of inclusion, given that Judaism is matriarchal. Also, excellent food. I loved making the brisket recipe my first editor in college gave me after making it for my girlfriend (design editor) and me in his apartment one night. Good food, good company, lots of laughter.
So, the issue, as you point out, is not “being Jewish,” but Bibi is a fucking nightmare. Why are all these old people trying to break the world just ahead of leaving it?

I will split hairs: Zionism is merely the belief that Jews are entitled to have their own state in the Levant.
A minority are also expansionists, parroting an equivalent of the Hamas “river to the sea” slogan.
