Why would I pay the government to collect a pool of money to pay for other people’s medical needs?
Much better to pay a private company to collect a pool of money, skim a bunch for profit, invest the rest for more profit, conspire to make healthcare prices unaffordable to users so they don’t have a choice anyway, and then use that money only to pay for some of the other people’s medical needs while denying healthcare for the rest, including myself?
