so, here’s what you do. if you’re in the US, show them what the Army Corps of Engineers or the Coast Guard do. Those are the two that are routinely deployed to save people’s lives in emergencies and natural disasters. Like yeah, it’s kind of an ACAB thing where being in the military sucks and you’re forced to do heinous shit just by being in the military, but that branch and corps are much more “helping people” oriented than “killing people” oriented
