Towed artillery is notoriously difficult to completely destroy. Russia had a massive stockpile of rusty heaps to pull spare parts from at the start of the war. One damaged artillery plus spare parts from a few scrapped ones = a new refurbished gun.

Reportedly this is changing with Ukraine able to destroy the barrels with specialized drones or just a larger overall payload to cause more damage.

Ukraine has some artillery they’ve raved about being easy to repair. Takes multiple drone hits, goes for repair and is good again in a few days. It less fancy, manual aim / control, but fancy stuff comes with its downsides if damaged.

Sometimes you just need simple and reliable. Mix it in with the fancier stuff.
