When France Is Hotter Than the Sahara, It's Everyone’s Warning.

France is currently glowing red with heat. Not metaphorically. Literally. Land surface temperatures in parts of the country have been recorded at levels more commonly associated with the Sahara Desert.France. The country of vineyards, alpine villages, stone farmhouses, rivers, forests and temperate European summers. Looking like the Sahara. That should stop us in our tracks. The real story isn’t that France is having a heatwave. It’s that climate change is making places behave like somewhere else

Last time i checked china was mostly reliant on coal ? They shifted the energy production to something else ? Genuine question, if they took impactfull measures i’d be hapy to hear about it

China bootstrapped using fossil fuels because that was the only technology available, but they’ve been transitioning away from using fossil fuels at a mind boggling rate. China still uses fossil fuels, but I think it’s fair to call it an electrostate at this point.

Thanks to war on Iran, a lot of countries might not have a choice now.

In retrospect we will be praising Iran’s IRGC as the number one environmentalists in the world.

The US is mostly reliant on China, and china’s manufacturing is slowly decreasing coal consumption, while rapidly increasing solar, wind and hydro.

Okay well believing China does things better than the west doesn’t make you a tankie. I also believe there are many things China does better than the west but I guess that’s all subjective.
