    I don’t agree with that. The centrists that remain “neutral” don’t see there being any political issues, just a president that is controversial whose policy they may not agree with but they’d rather keep their personal connections and appeal to “both sides.” Thus, they hear deception from the right, believe it as truth, and the tug of war continues because they lack critical thinking to determine it as a lie or a spine to refute it.

    Your last sentence sounds ignorant. Of course there’s no negotiating compromise when all the right is offering is harm at this point.

    Edit: Oh, I read the first portion as the centrists but you were talking about progressives. It’s probably some shame for those that didn’t vote but I think it’s more about mental health and coming to terms that the system doesn’t balance itself. Too many were complacent with what we had and recent events are quite the wake-up call.
