      They will just exit California before the law takes effect. California will lose its billionaires, and that would just be it. No income from them for the state. I wish the law worked retroactively.

        I see this argument all the time but who really cares if they leave? Tear down their old mansions and build back affordable housing. Oh, they might take jobs with them. Well, the economy goes on and that product or service will still be needed. And the wealthy already export jobs to lower cost areas, so fuck 'em.

        They will claim that they will, but in all the times I’ve seen where rich people claim they’re going to leave, I’ve never seen them actually leave. I’d love for you to show me some statistics showing that a significant portion of rich people leave after they claim they will. Until then, I don’t believe you. You’re just falling for that propaganda. I’m sorry to say

        lol good let them leave. fuck those cunts they only have that much money because they dont pay their fair share anyway. them fucking off somewhere else is still a net gain even if they manage to skirt the tax.

        Even if they do “leave” they’d have to sell all assets within the state of California or they could be hit with another tax. And if they did, all the better because we want the wealth to be spread among more people.
