Do we really need a video about this in 2024? Shouldn’t this be already a core part of our education as software engineers?

The title of the post is “how to avoid if-else hell”, not “how to avoid conditionals”. Not sure what’s your point.
Once again. If you’re traveling to a developing country and someone tries to steal from you, what do you do? YOU LET IT HAPPEN.
Why? Because for them your phone is worth more than your life.
You let it happen, don’t look at their faces, don’t scream, don’t run, don’t move your hands, don’t try to bargain, don’t chase after them, don’t look in their direction once they are gone…
You come from a rich country, you’ll recover financially, just let it happen and move on. It’s crazy how rich people come to these countries thinking they have some kind of imaginary bulletproof shield.
I saw a thieve kill a teenage girl because she resisted for a couple of seconds. Bam, stabbed in the neck, she dropped after 3 seconds.
Ah ok, you know it’s hard catching sarcasm when the internet is full of crazy people. That’s why /s exists. Specially hard when this is an actual card played by pro-israel jews.
I’m Jewish, so I can say it though?
Do you think pointing out a genocide is like the N word or something?
Well, the title is click bait then.
Title: “Linux is the worst!”
Content: if your favorite software is Microsoft Excel.
I always imagine Kelly
Imagine the whole world looking at Hitler exterminating jews in 1945 and doing nothing about it. That’s what’s happening today.
The problem is that the amount of population doesn’t match the way we live. You could create any ideal society and say that overpopulation isn’t the issue, or create an underpopulated society and say the way we live isn’t the issue.
You’re saying “we just need to fix the biggest issues of our society in in order for overpopulation to be a non-issue, easy!”
Yeha, I think that’s what they mean. Like they have their personality compartmentalized, not that they have multiple personalities. Let’s say they chose to be goofballs with a girl because they thought she would like it but then they find she’s too serious and doesn’t enjoy goofball jokes at all.
Some people can alter their behavior to get a desired output. I guess it isn’t something people do constantly but there might be scenarios.
People can have multiple personalities depending on variables like the environment or the social context. They chose a personality to approach someone and they didn’t like it.
Yeha, the throne is not a chair.
Or maybe if they stopped giving them immunity for their actions they would think twice before commiting a crime and ruining a child’s life.
The effects of religion. Moral is tied to obsolete ideals and logic is nowhere to be found.
“People expect too much”.
Yeha, I expect an organization that protects pedophiles to be dismantled. Sorry if that’s expecting too much.
Sure, and greenwashing marketing is helping the environment.
Bye.
My expectation is that this is something core that programmers should be aware of all the time. Forgetting about this is like forgetting what an interface is. It’s at the core of what we do. At least I think so, maybe I’m wrong assuming this is something every programmer should be aware of all the time.
