I got kicked from communities in lemmy.ml a year ago when I tried Lemmy for the first time, for not worshipping everything China did.

Hmm… 31 upvotes and 2 downvotes so far…
I getcha and I agree. I’m being pretty vague and talking about different nuances. ^^
Dude. I never said American work culture isn’t garbage. But let’s not be idiots and say that makes it so we can’t criticize Japan’s. Not to mention how much worse Japan’s is, and the fact that Americans at least are trying to resist this nonsense and fight back.
The anti-immigrant racism in this thread, man. Not sure if it’s because the racists are Japanese, or if it’s because the racists are weebs.
Jeeeeesus…
No. Birth rates decline as people stop being able to afford to live— and food is the biggest factor. There is a big difference between “a nation’s wealth” and “the wealth of the people”.
Population isn’t the issue. It’s bad management of resources and the creation of too many not-truly-disposable resources that is the issue.
People aren’t always clear; and even then, everyone makes mistakes. Be cool, fam.
To be fair, that’s the US too. Just not the exact same things. Can’t speak for other countries.
I have so many questions to ask you…
16 holidays and 10 vacation days a year and spending all your time at the office dicking about on Facebook is not even close to the same as “a reasonable amount of personal time”. Fuck the Japanese work culture, and reform for real. Read what AgentGoldfish said below for better context.
Yeah, if I could start my own egalitarian nation, I would, bud. Until then (and even after), I and everyone else has the right to criticize anything we want.
So glad I saw your comment first!
Also the Mighty Morphin’ communicator beep is my phone’s message sound.
Yee. “Everyone is a bit autistic” and “autism is an infinite spectrum” really piss me off. Like, I have real symptoms. Trichotillomania and auditory meltdowns and hyperfocus are real things I deal with, people.
In the end, if you don’t share (some or more) symptoms, you don’t share a diagnosis— medical or mental. Autism needs to be understood so autistic people can get support and tools. If that means we need more-specific words than just “autism”, then that’s just how it is.
Yeah, but have you tried Googling that “quote” supposedly from Madonna?
You gotta source that quote, fam. I wanna know ^^
I think everybody’s different. I am autistic but don’t have ADHD. Showering is not a habit, but I have partially managed to turn brushing my teeth into one. I know that for some people, brushing teeth happens without much thought— as long as it’s part of an ordered routine, I think.
I mean I did just stop using Lemmy for a year. Then when Reddit did dumb and Lemmy exploded, I forgot that Lemmy was what I had tried.
