I agree. Some US states do just that.
Though for this comic I’m just pointing out how the server is being singled out and shamed without the context of how their labor is compensated in comparison to everyone else in the comic.
Sherman did nothing wrong.

All of the people in that comic get paid for their labor. The server doesn’t.

The algae was created in the same lab they made covid in! Wake up, sheeple!
Tankies, man. The fact you just went through my entire comment history just to downvote everything is why you guys are getting boycotted.
Cool, with this example nobody needs to read any additional comments to understand why a mod would ban you.
be me, rfk jr
at another senate hearing
presenting slides on how muskox piss should replace fluoride in drinking water
get really into it and accidentally bump over some slides
kneel down to pick them up
sauerkraut spills out of my pocket, splats on the ground
everyone in the chamber starts laughing
go to grab my pocket kraut
fumble more of my slides
laughing grows louder, start panicking
forget the kraut, just try to grab my slides
slip on the kraut
Looking at your mod history, it wasn’t posting about Biden that got you banned. It was not sourcing the allegation then reposting it again (unsourced) after your comment was deleted.
Reposting remove content, mod abuse, misinformation. According to the community rules, you must supply supporting documents from reliable news sources

The pool’s getting a $200 billion payout to begin talks on whether or not it will seek algae-blooming capability.

You seem to be talking about SpaceX, but I gotta point out that with the fast-track it’s not just the retail investors holding the bag. It’s anyone with a retirement fund.

They ain’t even pocketing the cash either. Most transactions are on card these days.

The guy looks like a 1950’s comic book depiction of a greasy corporate crook.
I had a similar experience. Years of use with no issue then suddenly an admin crackdown on anti-fascist comments.
Give it a few more years and I expect the site to be mostly bots talking to bots, subtly mentioning products and services in their comments.
Anyway, it’s time for me to drink a Mnt Dew and eat some Cool Ranch Doritos as I play the new 007 First Light on my Xbox Series X.

We could go down the rabbit hole of each individual component and get into a nitpicky argument, but I’m not interested in doing that.
Instead I’m going to make the claim that solar panels themselves are so cheap now that if the US transitioned most of its power grid to solar it would pay for itself within our lifetime. Independence from petrostates is achievable. It’s a policy choice that it hasn’t happened yet.

Lots of things do, but luckily enough solar PCBs are so small and simple that changing their supply chain would add a negligible cost while the transition to solar as a whole will bring in enough savings to offset that and more.

taxing inheritence and transfer of assets
Wouldn’t happen in CA. As blue as they seem, prop 13 makes them basically a feudal society with actual landed gentry. I’m not making that up.

Solar panels are cheap and can be recycled.

Their crimes are hardly even comparable too. When Hunter is holed up in a hotel room with hookers and blow he’s only hurting himself. When the Jr is running crypto scams he’s hurting a lot of people.

I can’t imagine paying for AI when the open source tools have made it so easy to set up a model locally.

I’m glad you’re able to do those things. A lot of people talk the talk online without actually living it offline.
That being said, I think “the uniparty” is just another way of saying “both sides bad,” a phrase uttered by right-wingers and right-wingers who fancy themselves fence-sitters while exclusively attacking left-wing candidates.
It’s a term that sanitizes apalling right-wing behavior while downplaying the work of progressives who take beatings, from “friend” and foe, while trying to accomplish anything that actually helps people.
I’ve no doubt that I just angered a few tankies by even calling members of “the uniparty” progressives, but as I said they’ll call them “genocidal imperialist capitalists” regardless.
In a lot of the US, service workers are exploited similarly to how overtime labor goes without compensation.
Say if someone works 12 hours in a shift, but remains at or under 40 hours for the week, they don’t get any OT. It only kicks in after 40 hours.
The same goes for a server working full time. Without even needing to cook the books, a server could work a few $40 weekday shifts then one busy $300 weekend shift. Rather than being bumped up to minimum for the weekday shifts, the weekend shift is counted against their overall pay and they get nothing. The weekday shifts eat the tips from the weekend shift.
All perfectly legal.
