Most of the hate is because of the maintainers not maintaining their security certificates. Another similar distro is EndeavourOS, which I personally prefer. But either way, find what works for you.

Make sure there isn’t too much tension on the cables to the hotend assembly. Could be pulling too tight and lifting a bit when it gets too the far side

I say we should just let Threads fail through its own doing.

Check and make sure that your z screw is not sticking or binding. Also, make sure that the hotend is tightened and there are no gaps where filament can ooze from.
