But to be fair, does anyone know who’s on stage?

Technology@lemmy.world•Sony is deleting 551 movies and TV shows you bought on PlayStation, because you don't really own your digital purchases— John Wick, Paddington, and Terminator 2 are among the titles–no refunds offeredEnglish
4·18 hours agoNot surprised. They did this with their other movie app a few years ago, the one that allowed you to download a free digital version of DVDs when you bought the DVD back when streaming was new.

33·6 days agoWhat are all of these data centers for? Do they really need hundreds of data centers? Are they going to build a bunch of data centers and half sit unused or underutilized?

51·6 days agoYes, but I guess your family can argue that you had the right of way when a giant truck turns you into a hood ornament because you were watching Facebook shorts instead of looking both ways before crossing a street

politics @lemmy.world•Centrist Democrats are freaking out about progressives’ winning streak
22·6 days agoIt literally is. You can’t vote blue if you have stronge conservative values. I had a coworker (unsolicited) tell me that essentially he would support anything he considered conservative (non-woke) even if it meant burning everything down and starting over. Not sure why he felt a conversation about baseball at a company dinner I was paying for as a company event needed to be redirected to political beliefs. But there we all were sitting there all being very uncomfortable.

543·6 days agoThen why doesn’t Toyota and Nissan do something about it? It’s their product, regardless of where it’s made.
Also why are they shipping vehicles with software created for North America then acting like it’s Americans faults that features don’t work or only come in English, French and Spanish.
Sounds like they’re making bad decisions and trying to blame it on cultural differences

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How much money have you lost while gambling in one day?
5·7 days agoAbout $50, which is all I was willing to spend that night after my gambling parents dragged me to a casino. Then as I was leaving my father gave me $200 to stay and keep gambling. I stuck around long enough to satisfy him, walked out with $200, so profit $150.
I really want a powerful miniPC to replace my Rokus and also play 80% of my library. But $1100 for the 512gb without a controller is a hard pill to swallow. I can get an equivalent laptop for about the same price or less, and it’s still portable.
I reserved a 512gb and a 2tb, but I may hold out for the Frame. I fell like Valve should rethink the strategy, because there are a lot of console gamers that would break into the market if the price is right, $1,100 is too high. Especially since it still won’t be able to play games with anti-cheat, so most of the competitive games aren’t even an option.
But now she has the spot light

I think it’s the double chin and the patches of hair that kind of screw everything up
