1000 down / 20 up for $75 from Comcast. It’s getting upgraded to 1200/200… Eventually… 🥲
If they take too long I might just hop back to TMobile 5g home internet. It would peak at like 500 down / 120 up for $50 which I was super happy with.
No, I’m using it’s FTP based triggers. Since most cameras can upload snapshots to FTP servers when there’s motion, Shinobi has a feature to trigger motion with FTP.
Jellyfin, Shinobi, and more recently NextCloud. Looking into Home Assistant and Paperless.
Shinobi’s on a Pi4 and the Jellyfin/NC are on a mini PC.
The pain point is if someone sends you a link to a post on a different instance you kind of have to jump through a hoop to interact with it

Comcast charges $30 for unlimited data, and $25 for unlimited data + modem rental
My unpopular opinion… Comcast’s XB7 and XB8 boxes are fine hardware wise. If you’re paying for unlimited data its literally cheaper to rent their modem with unlimited.

I was going to try Zoneminder but it seemed hard to setup on a raspberry pi. I’ve been super happy with Shinobi though
I’m trying out Nextcloud soon. If you’re on Android this gallery app for Nextcloud is super nice. Link
infosec.exchange, I don’t work in infosec but it’s a cool community
It takes some work to like it at first, to find an instance you like so you can use the Local feed and follow some people
It largely is, but yesterday the Recognize app broke and I have no idea how to fix it. I think the environment got messed up from an apt-get upgrade? Its little things like that I have to figure out how to fix
