Are we sure this isn’t Poe’s Law in effect? This post reads like a troll that people have taken seriously.
Can we also get a MIDI file to play at full volume whenever I open Lemmy?
That caught my eye too and made me laugh. I’m guessing it was something lost in translation.
It would have been until they measured the capsaisin levels and declared it not as spicy as they were told.
Kurzgesagt had a good video about that recently that hit on those same points. Like you said, you don’t want a society of old people with few young people. Then they vote for short term solutions and don’t care about long term problems.
I mean, that already happens now, but even more so.
Biden had a bad debate: faces calls to withdraw from the race.
Trump convicted of 34 felonies: record fund raising.
That’s what I don’t understand either. It can’t just be about money at that point right? Like they must intentionally be trying to bring back slavery or something.
Lol I’d say you’re lucky that it was only 3-4 hours!
Now that you mention it, I have no clue! There’s no exhaust fan on mine. It definitely works though, so I assume the people that made it are smarter than me.

Verisk also claims to have access to data from millions of vehicles and partnerships with major automakers, including Ford, Honda and Hyundai.
In case anyone was looking for a list of manufacturers to avoid… So just about all of them, really.
Yeah, I feel like being on Lemmy while not having known about Fark is like if you skipped the Dr. Seuss books and just went straight to reading the Penthouse advice columns.
I was originally gonna say Shakespeare or something classy, but let’s be honest with ourselves…
Isn’t that wild?! There are Farkers who never left.
Into another environment?
I think the challenge to lead people and remain technical, while being less hands on, is what contributes to so many engineering managers feeling imposter syndrome. It’s a really tough mental switch to stop being hands on all the time and just accept that you have value beyond being hands on keyboard.
TLDW; The rules of baseball say that the batter is eligible to advance to first base.
The drone operators video in the article explicitly calls out the commander for being corrupt, misreporting the situation on the ground, having Western contacts that he’s working with, and being involved in narco-trafficking.
I feel bad for the drone operator who was sent to his death for a shitty cause, but if the Russian commanders are like that, that’s a win for the good guys in my book.
