Same reason i don’t use Twitter, I’m not a narcissist.
I’m taking wegovy, it’s exactly this. I don’t walk into the kitchen and open the refrigerator anymore. I’m building new habits that will stay with me without the drug, and I’m building new daily frameworks around food that I can look back on later without the drug. The change was immediate, in the first week, but building habits takes a while.
My food addiction stems from having periods of food scarcity in my past and current troubles getting good quality foods. I think it’s something that doctors will be able to dial in later as to which psychological problems the drugs can help with best.
I also think that pairing this drug with therapy would be amazing as a therapist could help their patient reflect on the changes that are happening and give them the tools to build new habits while the drug is in effect
Far more likely this is being prepared by Russians as they retreat in Kursk and blamed on Ukraine just in case any Russian civilians get hit. We know for a fact that Russia booby traps civilian areas which is a war crime. There have been zero cases of Ukraine doing this. So if a booby trap exists it should be assumed Russian.
I’m on Ubuntu which is supposed to be at the least nerdy. Still hella nerdy, I just want to make memes and play games lol
Yeah that part’s a confusing mess. I moved to Linux on my gaming PC a year ago and have been pleasantly surprised multiple times but not with installers!
It’s just an opinion post, i phased it as such.
I don’t even think his nukes work anymore tbh. They had some sort of arming/testing last year and we heard literally nothing from it. No test runs no trials no success stories.
On mbin you’ll still see them, just in a separate section. And that’s only my perspective too, communities you join might dislike my methods entirely.
Only for streaming and I’m just brainstorming, I don’t actually know how it would work. I’m just thinking about what mbin needs to be truly next generation rather than just a Reddit replacement
Reddit didn’t replace anything directly, it innovated. And whatever comes after will have to innovate as well
From a moderator perspective it seems essential to have a microblogging section, because otherwise people make entire posts for simple questions or personal achievements. That plagues Reddit, drags down the whole site.
I still think it’s missing something though, streaming video service support. Mbin’s idea of combining known socials works great in that respect. Text and image, but needs video support. P2P maybe, no storage needed.
As a reddit moderator having a Twitter like interface seems essential. Too many people on Reddit treat it like Twitter
19.4 on lemmy adds some pretty crucial modding tools though so I’m torn LoL
The worst part about snaps isn’t the fact that their packaged like Windows files, it’s that it makes updating everything on your computer confusing as fuck when you don’t really want to ever think about it.
I don’t know any autistic people in my life, which is statistically unlikely, so I guess I just don’t notice.
I would move an entire group of fighting games reddits over here but there’s no automoderator or mod toolbox equivalent. Until lemmy gets that basic functionality it’s moot to try and moderate anything at a high level
I’m using kubuntu right now. Test it out fedora for about 3 hours before I ran into a bug and went back to the KUbuntu hard drive. Normie means it just works, or at the very least googling the answer leads to good solutions. Only ubuntu has that
Old dude is hard core. Love it
I feel like he’s doing this just to threaten the troops on the front line with somewhere colder
Job complete. Good work team
Any of the unigine benchmarks work great. As long as you record which settings you use for each test. I just got done overclocking my 1070 using heaven and superposition.
I used greenwithenvy to do the OC itself
How would you even know what ties a person has when the problem is government level security. Besides, Russia doesn’t exactly work on government payrolls anyway, it’s more about working in subsidiary companies owned by the oligarchs who are able to skirt the law effectively becoming the government in the process. It’s totally foreign to Western style government, there is nothing like it in the world
