I found an answer on StackExchange that refers to a tool called rsync-sidekick which looks like it could achieve your aims.
Edit: There is also another answer on that same StackExchange page referring to a script called rsync-prepare which is capable of working with a remote destination.
Are there other empty groups of seats? I find people generally spread out to avoid others.
It’s certainly something I do. I’ll sit next to someone (choosing the least talkative looking people first) only if there is no other choice.
The internal usb and SD card slot are just there in case you want to boot from usb or SD.

Back in the day, we would look for the newest SmartStart CD to install from, but it’s no longer possible to get from official channels. Also they’re only useful for installing the supported operating systems.
The G7 knows the thermal profile of most HP hardware of it’s generation and runs the fans at the appropriate speed for proper cooling for known hardware, but sticking anything 3rd party (or just newer) in there will ramp it up to max cooling mode for thermal protection. It’s a pain.

Yes. I think of my train of thought as having one car on a good day. Mental load goes way up until I do that thing or take that med.
I’m guessing “muscle memory” is something that’s distinct from a habit?
Typing, for example, or playing an instrument, etch their way into our brains so deeply that they must be more than just habits.
I’m not a musician but I’ve known some, and they have a drive that transcends habit.

Yes because these piles, especially if they are papers and whatnot, are chronologically organized, and thinking of someone moving or merging them without your knowledge is stress-inducing!
