I was looking at the home page which just said ‘sold out’ under each one except the 512 w/ steam controller. This morning, they’re all just listed as ‘sold out’. No mention of a lottery anywhere there. It’s not surprising, though, given so many things are lotteries here. Still, if that many people entered, I would expect it to functionally behave the same as being sold out since the lottery winners will presumably snap them all up.

Not at current spec and price. I don’t think it’s worth what I would get. It’s also already sold out except the 512 w/ steam controller version for my region so I couldn’t even if I wanted to for the larger spec versions.
I’ll just slowly continue to upgrade my PC as money allows.

They’re too busy responding to all the Europeans’ comments on US housing construction materials at the moment.

Gwar shows are a lot of fun so seconding this; go if you get a chance (and maybe bring a change of clothes).

… you kids need to get off my lawn *shakes fist*
We had Apple IIs and later some early macs because my area experienced a population boom and had some more tax money to play with.

Japan prices
At the median salary (gross of roughly 5 million JPY), the only one not sold out is roughly 2/3 of a month’s take-home pay. Assuming it’s not scalpers or overseas buyers (not sure what, if any protections there are on the site), it certainly seems people here are interested (unless the ONLY model they actually sell here is the one not sold out, which happens occasionally such as with Pixel phones only offering certain, lower-spec varieties).
Edit: Also not sure if the JP, Taiwan, and HK stock are pooled which could certainly throw things.

I don’t like her (to put it nicely), but I don’t think she’s that daft. It’s basically meaningless stuff that’s pandering to certain portions of the LDP base.
I doubt it with the flag (though tons of people fly the naval ensign today already, not just far right folks and nothing legally forbids doing so AFAIK) since this would have consequences with some of the biggest trade partners when the economy is already in trouble.
Edit: to be clear, I think this is a really dumb idea and don’t agree with it.
Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of places around me cut back. Thankfully, I’m not forced to use AI directly. We do have it for code reviews (which I don’t hate as a concept, but would prefer local models trained on ethically-sourced data).
