Please for the love of god put some proper cycle lanes in. Not these that are on the road with a faint line, or share it with pedestrians where road signs block the path, an actual, dedicated lane with something seperating the cars and pedestrains. I’d love to cycle more but I just stick to the limited cycle lanes we have around us (which admitedly are probably better than a lot have it), there’s no way I’m going on the roads.

It’s no different than an ariel drone, except it’s on wheels and has a gun rather than bombs.

The real concern would be if it were autonomous.

Compulsory school age is 5, but most start in reception at 4. I do agree though that it’s far too young. People will look at you with three heads though if you suggest it’s too young here though.

I think it just needs a little + / - button (or some visual representation) to show the comment can be collapsed, I didn’t expect the deadspace to be clickable.

Unreleated, but I’ve also noticed that sometimes I can’t log in using Photon until I’ve logged in using the “default” web UI, and then coming back to Photon and refreshing fixes it.

I wonder if the lockdowns skew these figures. I’d imagine there were far less reports on 2021 as less people were using the trains.

I think it would be better to look at pre-pandemic figures and also the number of rail passengers per year vs reports.

Is it me or is there no way to collapse comments on Photon?

Our instance is federated with hexbear, lemmygrad etc. I want to be resonsible for what I see and block, I’m really not a fan of defederation unless it’s a last resort (i.e. CSAM or other illegal content).

I did end up blocking the lemmy.ml instance though, fuck that place. I haven’t even blocked hexbear or lemmygrad.

The problem is most likely people that are new to the fediverse/lemmy just not understanding it and choosing a “default”, popular instance. I was going to pick it as a safe option when I first came here but it was under load and wasn’t accepting new users, where I then had to find another instance and settled on feddit.uk.

It would be good if lemmy instances could have the option of “load balancing” new users, so if the current instance has way more active users than it’s federated wtih then it disables registration but recommends other, smaller instances to the user.

Don’t forget “it’s too complicated”
