It’s almost one step further to be honest; by tying politics to religion they have both tapped people’s blind faith and essentially equated not being a conservative to being a sinner.
I’ve heard things like “I am voting for [candidate] because they are a good Christian” all my life growing up in the southernish US.

No they do not. They need to break even only. Profit is the result of charging customers too much, paying employees too little, or enshitification.
One the one hand I get what you are saying. On the other hand people absolutely remember Newt Gingrich and Mitch McConnell. Republicans who were counter to Democratic presidents.
I would hazard a guess that people like Henry Kissinger, Ollie North, and Arthur Laffer won’t be forgotten any time soon either.
Which is the part that I really don’t get; How fucking dumb do you have to be to think you will still be rich and powerful after the Dollar is worth nothing? Not to mention what’s going to happen to Judges and Congresspersons when they become useless to the administration.
If you are in dire need, and haven’t already, try finding a local salvage yard (junkyard, breakers yard, etc. depending on your location) and pulling the parts you need from there.
