Especially factorio with mods. I play with bob and angels mod which massively increases the complexity. I use infinite ore as well because anything on a timeline stresses me. I have over 2000 hrs in it.

Another happy Connect user here and you can enable the beta branch from the play store. I ran into a bug a few months ago and made a post, the Dev had it fixed hours later.
Connect was also one of the very few apps that was very early to doing instance and other flexible filtering options. It’s so good I can browse All without getting upset.
What always gets me is how do you know how much to bribe people for? Did you have to ask around? Do they actually tell you?
I just picture me slipping a border guard a fiver and being so insulted he arrests me lol
Yeah I didn’t find out until a close friend found out she was, and we had a lot of the same stuff in common. I started watching YouTube videos on it like “20 signs that you might be autistic” and I’d have 18 of them. When I started asking friends and family they were like “how did you figure it out?”.
The fact they already knew, and that in didn’t even know it ran in my family until I started asking was a mix of both relief and anger nobody said anything. I had been struggling my entire life needlesssly for a very long time.
I cannot think of any reason at this point to get a professional diagnosis, but I understand if someone else would want it.
Yeah, and its very dangerous to escalate. The Cuban missile crisis nearly annilated the planet, no world wars are necessary, just an escalation of tensions to cold war levels like we are starting to see now.
Escalations are extremely dangerous if not just as dangerous as an all out declared war.
I’ve worked with POS systems my whole career and I still can’t help think Piece Of Shit whenever I see it
Thanks for the post, super appreciate the posting of other communties. I think this is a great way to grow Lemmy and create discoverability for niche communities, I’ll keep that in mind myself on future opportunities.
Saw my first episode the other day with Conan and now I’m hooked on all these hot ones videos.
They have so many good personalities on there, watched the one with Elijah Wood last night and it was great
More like Russian maintenence, but the poor engineering helps too. Corruption playing out for the corrupt.
Yep, too economically important to be invaded at the present time, and not just for the US
That’s why there is a huge push now to remedy it. The supply chain shutdown due to covid was the first shot across the bow and now China is massively ramping up its navy to take it. They want to be ready to invade Taiwan by 2027.
Belta lowdah knows the way. Send the rock sa sa, que no?
This is how email servers have worked for decades - there is no silver bullet and this comes closest. If you poorly admin your email instance, say allowing it to be an open relay (same as just allowing open registrations), you get blacklisted everywhere aka defederated. Same if you have a compromise and someone starts spamming out.
That could be said of any tool as well, it ultimately comes down to the competence of the person using it, even if that’s a hammer or frying pan.
The caffeine is usually added to make it faster acting, particularly for migraines. I haven’t actually heard of it making anyone sleepy before, that’s interesting.
The attack vectors I’m thinking of just come from the inherent complexity and centralization. I’m just considering the amount of damage that can be done with a compromised DA account for example vs a non directory environment.
It’s complicated. Done right it can be more secure, not done right it’s less secure.
I also only get brought in for problems for the last however many years, so I’m probaby a bit biased at this point haha.
I have had to tell companies they are going to have to rebuild thier AD from scratch because they didn’t know what thier DSRM password was (usually after a ransomware attack). These are the sort of hassles I think about vs non AD.
You could look at freeIPA or something similar to stay on Linux.
I’m an AD specialist, starting when it came out with server 2000, and can tell you it’s a waste of time for a home network unless you are doing this just because you want to learn it.
It will definitly not make your life any easier, and will increase attack vectors, especially if you don’t know how to secure and protect it.
You aren’t your run of the mill AP clerk I’m afraid
Installed Mint on a 2013 Macbook pro retina a few months ago, only thing not working for me was screen brightness with the proprietary Nvidia driver but was able to correct it.
Otherwise it’s great
For Windows it absolutely is in order of listing however. Typical behaviour is no reply after a second against the primary DNS results in it moving down the list.
Redundancy aside, this is more important when you span multiple datacenters and always want lookups going to the completely local or most local DC available.
TIL about the Linux/BSD not having preference though. Good to know.
