Ah, yes the memories. I followed it pretty closely, happily forgot most of it. I’m somehow reminded of Groklaw.
A case could probably be made for either side. Russia supposedly has done this before in Georgia
A lot of speculation, uncertainty and hypotheticals. The west will continue to support Ukraine against Russia.
Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, then escalated this into a full scale war in 2022.
NATO, the West, anyone who supports Ukraine
Hopefully we can provide enough airpower to give Ukraine the air superiority, or at least even the playing field
I think you could make a case for providing Ukraine with nuclear weapons. The security guarantees provided by Russia in exchange for nuclear disarmament were obviously trash.
I have used it as a daily driver. My biggest issue was the nix language. If I was to go back, I would invest more time in learning nix.
Reads like Russian propaganda. Does anyone believe this?
2008, when Russian forces invaded Georgia?
An Australian citizen = Julian Assange
Only 59. Interesting guy. Haven’t followed him much since the 90s
So you would give up your nukes?
Endless warnings with no meaningful actions to de-escalate.
You would nuke your enemy, right?
Russia should be held accountable in both cases.
For me the difference is using cluster munitions in defense of your country. It’s not by choice, it’s by necessity. Like most nuclear powers will use nuclear weapons in existential defense. Rightfully in my opinion.
Here is Pentagon again as of July 6, 2023: Brigadier General Pat Ryder: “I would note that the Russians have already been employing cluster munitions on the battlefield, many with very – which included very high dud rate reportedly.”
Also cluster munitions used by Russia
I wouldn’t be surprised if both sides have been using them.
Reads like a non-story: There is no quote with praise for Russian imperialism. The only real quote is one not endorsing imperialistic notions.
In general, the Vatican appears to support Ukraine.
