Thank god
Don’t use Manjaro. If you like gnome pop os is the most flawless distro I know. I just hate the name lol
Id like to update this to include nixpkgs as well as a last resort before snaps
Damn that sucks
Glad someone has had a better experience than me
Fucking Debian. There’s no point to use it on anything other than a server. Apt sucks, it doesn’t have the backwords compatible support with Ubuntu and it’s wiki sucks. Id you want a stable release use OpenSUSE Leap and if you want rolling (which btw Debian testing us still on 5.25 nvidia drivers). And Sid is even more unstable than Arch. Use either Arch or OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.
I only use snaps if it’s not in my repo list, not a flatpak, or not in the obs, then I’ll use snap. The LSP servers are snaps which make it easy to install, but that’s about it. Id rather avoid both and go purely with repo packages
That’s funny I might do that
In my experience sddm runs a persistent xorg session meaning it’s always being used
Ended up going with OpenSUSE after installing EndeavourOS and kde crashing after opening up the notification applet
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_drivers https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_SUSE_Prime Do not use bumblebee. Install your nvidia drivers and then if it didn’t automatically install suse-prime. The command to configure it is prime-select
4 points!
Luckily every gaming distro is just a bunch of configs already made that have a 50/50 chance to work. If you want rolling release your best bet is OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, it’s way more stable than Sid. If youre used to APT id say go to pop os. If you want to stay with Debian your best bet is to use the testing repo, Sid is for devs and people who are trying to find bugs
