Hey, the situation isn’t so grim. At a certain point, old people will die and maybe then we’ll be able to elect sensible politicians.

We are fighting for a better one. All those recent EU regulations are doing exactly that.
I’d love if we could address those issues you’ve listed too, since they’re obviously more important, but it seems really hard until the european left actually wakes up and starts promoting actual candidates.
except of course for the blatant racism against non-western people, the current shift towards neofash politics (meloni etc), the militarization and the impeding economic collapse.
All of which already happen in the US, but worse.
The entire world sucks, can’t we be happy of living in a place that sucks a bit less?
A less hypocritical Catholic Church would be nice.
Then we’ll have to wait for the next pope I guess. “Turn the other cheek” isn’t really compatible with victim blaming.
If we defederate after the second step of EEE it still won’t save us from the third one.
However, if someone posts “Karl Marx is great” or “Communism makes sense” or “capitalism is bad”, you’ll probably see a defederation before the enter key is hit. (Hexbear).
Uhh… [email protected] is literally “CAPITALISM BAD” on a constant basis and it’s one of the most upvoted communities on the instance. And I don’t think Marx is the one people actually have an issue with, it’s more all the idolization of Stalin, Putin, Mao, Xi and the rest of the gang.
Yes, I know, the article speaks for itself. It was more of a joke about how it’s “a very bad time to be in Russia, period”.
Its a very bad time to be gay in Russia.
I don’t think not being gay changes much in this statement
But we want to stop those people from starving. And if we ideally lived in a world where no one is starving, emissions would go up astronomically.
Don’t forget he basically said Charlie Hebdo had it coming.
Dude’s still an ass, he’s just a comparatively smaller ass than his predecessors.
If they did that there would probably be more churches than clergymen left.
(Not that I see a downside, but they probably do)
On Reddit it was actually a block that forbid people from seeing, or commenting on your stuff.
That led to people spreading fake news and blocking people who pointed them out, so that they couldn’t get reported on following ones.
It sucked. It’s much better like this.
Sure, but the deposit system doesn’t create pollution either and is also a much smaller inconvenience.
That honestly seems like a hassle. Long trips and stuff I understand, but if I’m just hanging with my friends with nothing on me I don’t want to carry a bag just to put a cup in it.
The deposit system they’re using in that town seems much better to me, as long as that’s an option I’m on board.
…how exactly is any country higher than North Korea? Aren’t they basically all slaves?
Millennial/Gen Z depending on definition here, I did not.
And after watching it I’m still not convinced it wasn’t an impersonator sketch.
If there were 100 people to blame for all of this I could go out and kill them, but 100 million? What the hell can any of us do about that?
Oh you could definitely go a long way by killing the right 100 people. I think killing even one of those would require a coordinated effort by way too many people though, so not that it changes much.
People can have “real political views” that are different from yours, y’know.
I think they’re crazy as well, but thinking they’re all just teenagers who don’t know any better is naive. Especially if you look at the US, you should know it’s full of adults with really horrible political views.
Rainbow background would’ve been the cherry on top
Ehh… that depends too. Here in Italy there’s plenty of people that wouldn’t bat an eye at their 10-year old playing CoD and shooting people in the most graphic ways possible, as long as there’s no female nipples in sight.
