“Russia to send combat vessels to Caribbean, pretty sure Ukraine wont be able to sink so many there”
I agree that subscription fatigue is a huge thing, and I avoid services as a rule of thumb unless there are real reasons for the subscription, ie ongoing usage based costs.
That said, I view $2 a month as a reasonable subscription cost, and if Reddit had charged that I would have happily paid it to keep bacon reader. It’s only the one time payment cost that is very steep ($99).
I chip in $5/mo for lemmy.world to help pay to keep it ad free and running
I mean, thats litterally the point of federated instances. If you don’t like this one, you can find one you like more, or spin up your own and control your own federation without worrying!
I agree that the admins should maintain a list, but this is still really early days of Lemmy.
It’s hard to overstate how big 0.2 degrees is, for a single countrys change.
That’s 10% of the total expected climate change (assuming we held it to 2°)
I think the problem is, lets say 20 years from now, we now have a carbon negative economy. If we just look at the past trend lines, we would have to look at the future trend lines “each kid you have reduces carbon output by…”
In the long run, its an over simplistic representation.
What do you mean by “neoliberal”? I feel like most of our political parties (here in Canada) are way more conservative than most people I know.
And this isn’t the first time. A lot of climate activists (and I assume Greta included) love these non-compliance fines, since it’s basically advertising for them
its a good read.
I’m not sure how much is directly applicable to Reddit>feddiverse, since i found the transition quite easy, and the only problem is communities not yet active enough.
Recently watched it. As a DND movie I give it 9/10, a nearly perfect DND movie
As a movie, maybe 7/10. It doesn’t take too many risks, and it won’t make you cry.
It’s like a dumb heist movie, and very enjoyable.
There was enough pressure to crush an atomic submarine at 1/5 the depth
Especially considering that one of the alternatives was, because the sub is bolted in from the outside, they could have been bobbing on the surface, suphocating.
Yea, its insane that its still going on.
Just block them. going to have to with the number of bots on it.

It’s already superb owls, so we would have to swap to superbowl content.
Not the most biteing change.
Mod here of superbowl, I’m tempted to, but then we would just swap it to superbowl content?
I’ll bring it up with the other head mod.
i personally like Ars Technica quite a bit.
