It should hopefully not have any effect on regulatory perceptions since legal psychiatric use should involve a medication with a certain dose that’s the lowest amount that will help instead of just eating a bunch of mushrooms but we do live in the dumbest timeline. You can connect the ecobee to home assistant using HomeKit which runs local. I’ve got a nest and google once got rid of the api over a year before having a replacement ready so anything local is no go with them.
