Is there a good, free, cross platform alternative?

I have a Lenovo duet 2 that runs fedora no problem. Detachable keyboard and great size
Dude, I know Russia has poisoned people… But panties? That’s a new one for me.
I use Chromecast to watch jellyfin on my TV. My host PC is hardwired, and obviously the Chromecast is through WiFi
Ya, like jolly rouge said, they’re pretty good. I have had an occasional issue where the track pad didn’t want to work after waking the PC up. But otherwise it’s been bullet proof. All the hot keys work no problem. I haven’t had any of the weird “can’t wake from suspended state” issues I’ve had with older PCs. I basically leave my laptop plugged in next to my desk and it’s ready at a moments notice. I use Windows for gaming and work btw. But I’ve even installed Valheim on my laptop just to see if it would work and it totally does. No complaints on fedora. I used endeavor on it as well and I want to say even pop is. Just a bit of distro going there, no reason I ditched the other two other than just preferring fedora in the end.
I love my dell 5300 latitude with fedora. Touchscreen, 13 inches, super compact. And a dime a dozen as you can find used enterprise laptops on eBay/Facebook market.
Slap a large nvme in there and you’re good to go for like, under 300. With the leftover cash, you can even get a docking station and monitor if you wanted a dank setup at home.
Ya actually the buldak stuff is really flavorful, as well as being blast your ass tomorrow morning hot
Just coming in to say that I’ve tried pretty much all the noob Linux suggested distros, and fedora is what I use now. Started with Ubuntu in 2016. Gone through a few other like mint and peppermint. Even endeavor was really good but not 100% for me. Fedora had been pretty bullet proof.
Ya, this comment is way too far down. All 365 apps with within the browser. Problem solved.
I installed Bazzite on a Dell latitude just to check it out… The son of a bitch booted once, let me install updates then never booted again.
Plus one for Dell. I get some 4 year old decommissioned dells from my company and a 5300 is now my daily driver
I work in IT and my 4 year old retired Dell 5300 is working just fine. Great form factor as well.
Bro. Just on the note of power shell, chat gpt is a great resource. I recently started using it at work and it’s really great. I don’t think I’ll try studying powershell too much since I can just use AI to do it for me.
Obviously it helps to have a little knowledge going in however.
I disagree. It seems that the letters are along where the stress is, which can eventually cause determination. This part scares me when you consider how important what it’s holding it’s.
Can you elaborate on what pair sessions are?
I personally don’t, but a friend told me it’s his choice for his pop os laptop when he has to work with clients who use Microsoft products. Sounds like it has the best comparability, in his opinion.
Yes, I’m keeping kubuntu on my laptop because it works great. My desktop is going to have to be Windows for now
Honestly, I’m just not a big fan of the DE. I much prefer kde, which is why I went with kubuntu. Still had trouble getting everything to and running though.
Man, I used Ubuntu back on 12.04, but for some reason Linux seems way harder today lol
I mean…I Said windows did it lol.
But for real, I selected to update my firmware from within Windows update. I tried for a couple days, but was not able to recover it. Since I had an HP pre built, I used it as an opportunity to upgrade. I got a new motherboard and a couple parts and I’m back on my feet.
