Might want to reconsider the mobo/cpu choice, given the current situation with Intel chips failing at a pretty high rate.

Most of those options are the traditional text-based, “page” based type notes. There really aren’t that many options in terms of competition to something like OneNote though, where the “page” isnt a fixed size, and supports more than just plain text such as handwritten text, or images, or stuff that doesnt necessarily fit in a neat little square.

Dont get me wrong, there are some fantastic note-taking apps out there that are dead simple to use, but if you’re looking specifically for something like OneNote, then again, super limited options.

Were I the “protest type”, I’d be getting awfully creative with what can be done to the infrastructure of the things I was protesting. Big Oil? Would be a shame if the refineries were to suffer malfunctions… or the trucks/ships to suffer constant breakdowns…

But yeah, instead let’s go fuck with something that has no relation and only serves to piss people off - but not in the way you want them pissed off.

At least it’s not one of those stupid “reaction face” thumbnails. A clickbait title is easy enough to parse as “not worth my time” but those punchable face thumbnails? Fuck me, the person that started that trend needs to find the nearest running belt sander and start licking.

Because defacing an ancient site has a clear connection to the environment… bunch of fucking self-centered attention-whores.

Saw the headline, came in thinking “I know there’s a federated version, but can’t remember the name” and BAM! there it is; Abidan in with the save!

The only news I care to hear about people wealthy enough to throw away others’ year’s salary for trends like this… is if and when they get punted square in the nuts.

So far, it’s been slow news on that front.

Whatever happen to the golden rule of the internet? “Don’t feed the trolls”.

Or whatever happened to people’s ability to just… walk away? Harassment is terrible, but it’s the internet. Unless the person is sitting in the same room looking over your shoulder to follow your every move, you can make a new account, block the person, just ignore them… all sorts of options.

The “oh no someone needs to fix my personal issue for me” trend is how we’ve gotten to where we are now.

Welp, looks like we’ll just have to focus on the fun stuff… like railguns and plasma weapons. Hopefully we all live long enough to see the future sci-fi keeps telling us about…

Minus the dystopian part, preferably.
