No doubt, this is the best mushroom book imo. It’s on my shelf as I type this.
I’m here because Lemmy.World keeps going down and Beehaw activity plummeted after defederating from the larger instances.
No doubt, this is the best mushroom book imo. It’s on my shelf as I type this.
It’s a terrible platform for minor authors.
Mind if I ask what a better option would be? Looking to release some work myself in the next year and was going to start looking at which options would be best.
Say what you will about W (there’s a lot to criticize) but he was quick with those dodges lol
With games these days I just feel it’s a better deal. There’s stability patches, generally more content that’s added post-launch, and a sale price making it cheaper. I don’t understand buying games at launch when it’s not a primarily multiplayer game. Multiplayer makes sense since there’s the server population you have to consider. But Souls? Armored Core? Most RPGs? The multiplayer/coop is generally an afterthought, so I can wait until the deal ripens haha
Yeah, I was playing armored core back before From Soft got their recognition with the Souls series and so I’m really excited we’re getting this series back. But now, with all the lessons learned from the Souls series! I’m sure it will be great, it’s just I’m a patient gamer so will still likely wait until a sale 😂
W raised the banner saying “Mission Accomplished” what more do you want? Jeez.
We could dominate the political landscape if we did, but we don’t.
Go look at the midterms we just had, it was historic. The GOP was supposed to gain way more seats based on previous trends but Gen Z came out in droves and denied them that. There hasn’t been a midterm like that in half a century. That’s why the GOP are saying things like this, they’re scared because in 2024 even more Gen Z will be eligible to vote.
Everyone make sure you do what you can to vote, it’s crucial.
Now I just need Merry to put a hand on my shoulder and tell me “I don’t think they know about fourth once-in-a-lifetime financial crises.”
As a millennial I think this is number three… Maybe four?
The rare quadruple down on the dumb. Calling a lemmy community a subreddit is not a metaphor, it’s objectively wrong. No matter how many non-applicable examples you provide. How are you this dense? (That’s rhetorical btw)
Because people like me have an interest in having people like you be a little less self-righteous.
lmfao the projection of writing this at the end of the most self righteous comment I’ve read on lemmy yet is delicious.
Trying to say calling a Lemmy community a subreddit is a metaphor lmao
Also, you came back to the comments without getting a notification to reply to the edit? Dude, go outside lol
This isn’t about their political views in particular, this is about them brigading comment sections and derailing from the original topic and shouting down anybody who disagrees.
Defederation because of political views is, frankly, dangerous for democracy.
What? This is such a ridiculous claim I’m not even sure where to start. Federation does not equal democracy, and defederation from a shitty spammy instance has zero impact on democracy.
This post is from RT, about Ukraine/Russia/Belarus but the biggest thread in here is rehashing the Iraq occupation. Can we just discuss the original topic? Is that so hard?
This is why so many instances defederate from hexbear, they do this in every comment section. Just turn it into whataboutism against the US, and add nothing to the topic that’s actually being discussed by the article. They’re basically lemmygrad but brigade comment sections more often.

Edit: You ever see somebody say something dumb and then they unabashedly double down? Yeah.
I have a bunch of lemmygrad and hexbear accounts blocked so I can’t see the other replies to your comment but I bet it’s a whataboutism against the US, isn’t it?
Edit: lmao the downvotes tell me, yes, it’s just whataboutism against the US because that’s all they ever have to offer.
That’s a very specific time line, you got something planned?
I’m not sure if it was your intention or you didn’t read the second half of my comment but you essentially repeated the point I just made, therefore, yes I agree.
I’m aware, I’m not talking about those extremists however. I’m talking about the people who are unsure and potential allies. Yes, they still exist in 2023. I convinced one in my family just this past month after being patient and explaining concepts and terms. That’s the scenario these studies can be very helpful.
I was more referring to the common knowledge among the trans community that already knew this information prior to any studies. If you’re trans and in the community this is a “well no shit” kind of study. We’ve been telling it to cis people for years but the refusal to listen to that was palpable. That’s why I said it’s great to have additional studies to point to if they don’t want to listen to the trans community themselves, they can maybe listen to this study.
Nice, some of my material is also ttrpg related so that’s especially helpful haha Thanks!
