They’re not gonna do that. Would be nice, but they’ve responded to previous petitions with “politicians gonna politician, it’s up to voters to be educated and not vote for liars”. Which, yeah, but also, people keep voting for liars.
I had a very small list of subs on reddit, but I feel like Lemmy is a fresh start so I want to expose myself to a lot of communities, then curate and prune as I start to get a feel for the platform. So I’m trying to hit subscribe on anything even remotely appealing, then step back as needed. Feels like a better approach than trying to be too narrow. I’m also freely browsing the local
and all
feeds of the three instances I’m on, which I would NEVER do on reddit. r/popular and r/all were awful to me.
Also, this is my lesser-used instance: my main is on feddit.uk, although there’s far less traffic there.
It’s not all of them tbf, just the bottom of the list. And don’t judge, it’s a VERY “preliminary” list of just some of the default recommended ones until I have time to curate some good ones :)
The UKCasual community Display Name should have a space in it like all the other communities. The “name” (url) needs no space but the “display name” is supposed to be a readable title/description. It should be “UK Casual” or “Casual UK”
It looks out of place in lists of communities:
