From Europe here. This is my opinion but Im about 90% convonced this is how its gonna go down: The US is in the midst of a fascist takeover which will either lead to a revolution and tens of million deaths or with the US implementing fascism in every other (western) country, taking over those that resist by military force. There wont be a world war as there is no possible opposition.
Its gonna be the hardest century humanity has faced in a long time, and US citizens still have the opportunity to sacrifice themselves for a better future but I doubt it will happen, we are looking at Cyberpunk 2077 soon. Most of us will get the Nazi Germany citizenship experience for some years and then the alternative ending where Germany won, except that H*tler cared for a big part of his people (white Germans) while the current US government will let all but 0.1% live in poverty and slavery with extra steps.

I’m in the middle east, and it fucking sucks.

We have like 2 genocides going on right now, and the rest are autocratic dictatorships that persecute/massacre their people. Especially minorities. I don’t like the democrats, but republicans are even worse. They’re going to turn Jordan, palestine, lebanon and syria into rubble. Fucking hell. And they’re going to fund the Sauds/gulf monarchies more.

Life’s unfair, there’s not much we can do about it here. But you can; please, protest all you can.

      Signed: an ignorant european.

The genocide in Sudan. iirc the US is the only one yet to have declare it as such, but looking it up it’s clear that the horrors and massacres that happen there is 100% a genocide.

France, Israel and the UAE are funding the RSF, who are barbaric, genocidal scum. The group came out of the janjaweed, who already have committed the darfur genocide two decades ago.

The RSF rape, ransom, murder and torture civilians and commit ethnic cleansing. They are less than scum. To put into perspective how bad they are, 100 women committed mass suicide, because the RSF was coming to their village and they knew they would be raped.

            It’s no problem.

What really gets on my nerves, and infuriates me insanely is how some people act like the west is a beacon of morality, and then try to act like immigration is “importing the third world” - my brother in christ, why do you think we have to immigrate to your country? who enslaved, colonized, setup autocratic dictatorships a century ago, for your own benefit? And you think you have the right to complain??? (this isn’t directed at you, by the way. I’m glad you are more open minded than others.)

It also kind of, and many of you may disagree with this; pisses me off that 50501 and all those types of protests never focus on foreign policy, but only things that affect them.

This may be a sweeping generalization:

after all my years, i’ve learned many people don’t mind, or even support fascism: it’s that the moment they are inconvenienced by it, by hitting their home turf all of a sudden they are anti fascist. Same story with WW2.

Slavery and colonialism never ended. They’ve just decided to keep it out their own countries, for their people to not see.

I’m very, very glad and happy that you are not like those who defend them all they can, and act like the west is this moral place. You are very open minded, we need more people like you.

I’ve said for years that the trouble in the Middle East was eventually going to come here, and here we are (and it’s just getting start). There are just certain immutable laws that are above man-made laws: One is that destruction always follows after pride, another is that we all reap what we sow. (Canadian here)

Distill every shitty thing about every caricature about america and you get trump. If you believe in democracy, then this is what the American people wanted, or allowed to happen. For better or worse, it is what it is. No, I dont like that they’re now trying to drag the rest of us into their muck with them, but hey, its america. Hopefully other countries will reduce their dependence on the us and strengthen themselves with their allies and come out stronger. But the stink will be with us for a while.

      As George Carlin said

If you have selfish ignorant people you get selfish ignorant leaders

It’s not about one politician. He got in but let’s be real, if it wasn’t him it’d be someone else. The people wanted this. They voted for it. Hoodwinked or no, they wanted a selfish ignorant leader for selfish ignorant reasons.

Our democracy has been pointing to this for decades. If anything, this election showed me what us Americans are actually like.

In line with what you’re saying, I’ve been thinking that as fixated as we all are on Trump right now (and naturally so), whoever comes after him might be even worse.

They also referred to other countries as “their” and for your theory to work they would’ve had to leave out the entire word “the” witch even with auto correct is hard to do. I’ll place a bet with you. If they respond with where they’re from and it is the US, you have to say something nice about Trump. I’ll do the same if they respond that they are not from the US. Neither of us actually wins but at least the winner doesn’t lose lol

I hate when people do this. You’re not special. There’s no reason for you to chime in like that when OP specifically asked for non-westrrn opinions. That means they especially don’t want an Americans opinion.

Americans don’t care about our politics anywhere near as much as you do.

I don’t believe for a second you’re not American. Either way it’s kinda pathetic, tbh.
