How long do they have to say sorry?
Does the USA apologise on the anniversary of the Mexican-American war it started?
Or do they hail the fighters in song to praise them? From the Halls of Montezuma…
Does France still have to apologise for Napoleon?
Does Mongolia still have to apologise for Genghis Khan?
Does Italy still have to apologise for what Julius Caesar did to Gaul (France & Belguim)?
Considering everything Japan did during WW2, and how there are people still alive who lived through it, I’d say yeah, they still have some apologizing to do. Instead, Japan has been whitewashing their very active roll in the war and focusing on how they were victims - you must’ve missed the big brouhaha over “Barbenheimer” and Japanese folks insisting on apologies for it.
If they’re still insisting on people apologize to them, I’d say folks can still insist they own up to what they did.
Ok. Current history is your bench mark.
When does the USA start apologising for the Invasion of Iraq?
Tens of thousands killed for a lie (involvement in 911) the US gov repeated pretty much till this day.
Your mistake is assuming I don’t think America should be apologizing for Iraq. I think Bush and his cronies ought to be up on charges for all that.
I asked about other countries in my first reply and you ignored it, so I assumed that was tacit dismissal of what I said.
Sorry for the confusion.
