And just imagine if Trump was still President. That list would have been leaked to Russia and they would have increased their fortifications

In exchange for a mysterious investment in one of his failed resorts, the target list was left in the bathroom of Mar a Lago while hosting a visit of foreign bloggers.

Russia waited until Trump was out of office to attack Ukraine. I think they just would’ve waited longer and in the mean time cozied up to him even more to try to make the situation more favourable for the attack.

The reason they attacked was because they thought Biden was weak. If you’ll recall, in the beginning the US had to have a debate just to give themselves permission to send Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine.

To be fair, if one was sure that the answer would be no anyway due to an unfriendly administration, and suspected such a leak might happen, it would give Ukraine a chance to put targets they don’t consider as important on the list, to get the Russians to waste their resources fortifying those instead

That seems like a pretty unwarranted assumption to me. Trump’s decision-making tends to be driven by what benefits him personally rather than by any consistent ideology. I don’t see how helping Russia win would serve his interests. Even though many on the right might admire how certain things are handled in Russia, they still largely view them as the number one adversary of the US. It’s hard to imagine Trump so openly siding with Russia in such a direct way, especially when doing so could alienate his base.
