Obama created the illusion that Democratic presidents, at least, are reliable and reasonable and diplomatic rulers. Vicious imperialist monsters, yes, but ones that would abide by their own professed “rules based order”. Biden is destroying that last figleaf of credibility by overreaching so hard to support Israel. I don’t think anyone will be fooled about things ever going “back to normal”.
