Ya “moves” is really misleading. Reality is that it’s redundancy as a defense strategy. But Threads replacing Twitter is the big story so they’re making things fit that mold, which is just lame and gross.

That was the reason I started using Mastodon. I had an account for a few years but never used it. That story got me back on and, this time, it stuck. I hadn’t even had a Twitter account for about 7 years at that point.
