Tips go to employees and it’s even illegal for managers to get tips. You know exactly who it’s going to, you’re just playing games rather than accepting you don’t like to tip
I’m perfectly happy to say I don’t like tipping in general, too. I do it because that’s how we’ve apparently agreed service workers make any money at all. 2) I didn’t explicitly say I’m in the US, altho I did imagine our tipping culture to be a bit unique, so to be clear - I also don’t have much faith in labor laws getting consistently enforced here.
You can also take the smug armchair psych somewhere else, guy.
(since we’re doing this asinine format I’ll join along) if you don’t want to tip, don’t tip. No one is making you tip, I’m tired of hearing you all whine every fucking day, so if you whine I’ll whine deal? 2) OK this discussion is largely around US tipping culture. So I’m sorry I figured you had a stake in the discussion were talking about my bad. 3) the people at the register, the people cooking your food, and the porters. It’s really not that hard
You can take your whining about a service you don’t have to participate in somewhere else too, yet here you fucking are
Yeah I have no idea who the tip even goes to sometimes.
And really in those cases, I assume straight to the business/owner. And then it’s like why am I volunteering to buy this at an additional markup?
